Mummy Pretzels – Dinners, Dishes, and Desserts
These White Chocolate Mummy Pretzel Rods are such a cute and fun Halloween treat that are ready in just minutes! Super easy to make even the kids can do it!

Halloween is such a fun holiday to make treats for. You can use just about anything white, green or purple, add eyes and it is fitting for the holiday. It is such a great way to get creative and make it fun. You can do a dessert like Ghost Cupcakes or a drink like Witches Brew and everything in between.
Why You’ll Love These Mummy Pretzels
- Fast – you really can make these in about 10 minutes, the longest time is letting the chocolate set upl
- Easy – just 3 ingredients is all you need, and dipping pretzels in chocolate (check out my tips below) is something even the kids can help with.
- Fun – get creative with your decorating! I made them look like classic mummies, but you could use different colors, different candy eyes and make them even more fun.
What You’ll Need

- Pretzel Rods
- White Melting Chocolate
- Candy Eyes
You can find candy eyes at most grocery stores or any craft store or Amazon. Wilton makes them, but so do store brands and other cake decorating brands.
How To Make Mummy Pretzels
- Start by melting the chocolate. Place in a microwave safe bowl and heat for 60 seconds. Stir well, and heat for 20 second intervals until completely melted.
- Pour the melted chocolate into a tall drinking glass. Place the pretzel rod into the center, lift up the cup and slightly turn it on its side for the chocolate to come up higher on the pretzel. Roll the pretzel through the chocolate.
- Remove the chocolate from the chocolate, holding over the glass for some of the excess to drip off.
- Place on a lined baking sheet to set up. Continue with the rest of the pretzels
- Gently place eyes on the pretzel rods, using 1 or 2 per rod, depending on what look you are going for.
- Use a fork (or pour the remaining chocolate into a bag and snip off the end), and drizzle chocolate over the pretzels to look like the mummy wraps.
- Let the chocolate set up completely for at least 60 minutes.
Storing Pretzel Rods
After the chocolate is completely set, transfer the mummy pretzels to an airtight container. They will keep at room temperature for up to 2 weeks.
