ROASTED RED PEPPER HUMMUS WRITTEN RECIPE :
INGREDIENTS :
• boiled chickpeas 200 g
• Roasted red peppers 1
• sesame seeds ¼ cup
• olive oil ¼ cup
• lemon, juiced 1/2
• garlic cloves 3
• cumin 1 tsp
• salt ½ tsp
• water ¼ cup
METHOD :
• Dry toast the white sesame seeds in a medium frying pan over medium heat for 2-3 minutes until nice and golden.
• In a food processor or blender, Add toasted sesame seeds and 2 tbsp of oil. Blend the mixture on high speed for about 1-2 minutes, or until it is smooth and creamy
• Add the chickpeas, roasted red pepper, olive oil, lemon juice, garlic cloves, cumin, and salt.
• Pulse the mixture until it is smooth and creamy.
• Add 1/4 cup of water to the mixture and blend again until it reaches the desired consistency. If it is too thick, add a little more water.
• Taste the hummus and adjust the seasoning as needed.
• Transfer the hummus to a bowl or airtight container and refrigerate until ready to serve.
• Garnish with a drizzle of olive oil, a sprinkle of sesame seeds, and a few chickpeas, if desired.
• Serve with pita chips, vegetables, or any other desired dipping item. Enjoy your delicious roasted red pepper hummus!
